Wow -- it's been over 20 years since I've flown Icelandair but even then it was 757s, excellent service and really, the best food. Icelandair is a fantastic airline.
Daniel, you are a very happy young man with a great deal of enthusiasm for doing what you do. I have been trying to give definition as to why your videos are so wonderful to watch, and it all comes down to your passion and cheerfulness. The take off and approach into keflavik airport can be indeed the most beautiful thing but also if the sky is clear of clouds and in the twilight is in my opinion the best part about Iceland 😊👍

Icelandair has come a long way since the 1970s when I first flew them in their single class Douglas DC-8. Back then they flew into just one European airport - i.e. Findel Airport in Luxembourg. Now, you have far more choices with them. Great video, Dan and excellent commentary on their little niceties.

I've missed your 'trip report' style videos. That was excellent and is certainly one of the best you have produced, in my opinion. Of course all your videos are fab, but this stands out. I flew with Icelandair to New York from Manchester, UK, a couple of years ago in Saga Class. I loved the scenery, the crew and the service. It's a great way to cross the Atlantic in a considered way. I hope to spend some time in Iceland in the near future. Keep up the fabulous videos. Thanks for all your output.

I flew the 767 from Chicago to KEF and in both Sara and Economy in June, it was simply amazing. These aircraft and the additional two they are receiving in 2017 are going to be used on the more heavily travelled routes and to future destinations which cannot be reached with the 757. Expect SFO or LAX to KEF soon, to compete with WOW.

It’s amazing how much we love the aircraft (757) it has been with Icelandair since 1990 and we (icelandair) are just getting started to retire it now in 2020. It will be a sad moment when the 757 will be fully retired but whe are still eating for the ,,middle of the market” aircraft from Boeing;)

I’m looking forward to my flight from Toronto, via Reykjavík, to Dublin in October. I originally paid for premium economy but due to a price restructure or something I’m now flying Saga class. It’s a shame won’t have the chance to a stop over.

I had economy when I flew yesterday (06-08-2017) but I got a bigger seat, like the saga class ones. Great experience..
I love how they have 757 for every route. I flew from Iceland to Paris and from Iceland to Seattle on the 757

Great video! Icelandair flies nonstop between Denver, Colorado, where I live, and Reykjavik using 757s. I loved the movie "Prometheus", and parts of it were filmed in Iceland.
I live in Iceland and I have tried over 15 airlines and Iceland Air is easily the best.

I took IcelandAir on Monday, from Chicago to Copenhagen. I have to say, their premium class (Saga Class) seats were not very comfortable, the cushions were very hard, the cabin from Chicago to Reykjavik was very hot. Norwegian's premium class seats are great. The food on IcelandAir is however superior to Norwegian's food, I had the lamb and it was delicious, the service and presentation was also very nice.

I'm flying Icelandair in the summer with my family, we are going from the East Coast to Germany... is it safe to bring my dog? We already have informed the airport we are bringing him and bought a crate, but now we are having second thoughts because of the dog deaths on planes recently. We are going for a month so we don't want to leave him at a sitter, does anyone know if they are safe with animals? Thanks!

Iceland should've gone for A350s and Dreamliner 787s and expand the service... However, I must say the meal doesn't look bad at all... Iceland Air puts many much bigger int'l airlines to shame on that front... If it was a US based airline, instead of giving you a nice little chocolate they'd send a wire down your throat and pull out even then one you bought yourself and ate prior to or in flight... :-P

The service and amenities are business class level, while the seat is like a VERY good premium economy. Meanwhile, the price is definitely on par with some airlines' premium economy products!
